Social Media Management

Since I began at Mixbook in 2015, I’ve been able to grow our Instagram channel organically an average of +121% YOY and gained the coveted blue verification badge.

All efforts were organic and used influencer, experiential, and partnership marketing to increase brand awareness.

I kept and created an organized content calendar and helped direct and style weekly photoshoots for original imagery.

Other channels managed also included Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Weekly Photoshoot Samples

Goal: Have the most beautiful product and lifestyle imagery in our industry

Objective: Maintain an above average industry engagement rate of 3%

Strategy: Shoot and style light, bright, and airy photography that breaks through competitor’s standard lay-flat imagery

Social Media Campaigns

Goal: Increase Mixbook brand awareness and exposure

Objective: Participate in low or no-cost partnerships for turnkey social giveaways and campaigns

Strategy: Pair with a similar brands to leverage both audiences to increase brand awareness, entires, and brand relationship building

Surprise and Delight

Goal: Increase Mixbook brand awareness and exposure

Objective: Place Mixbook product in the hands of influential tastemakers in the creative community

Strategy: Partner with the well-known TombowUSA brand and send hand-lettering influencers free Mixbook stationery paired with TombowUSA markers. In turn, urge them to create art and post about both brands. Low cost, high impressions #TombowOnMixbook.

Influencer Marketing

Goal: Increase Mixbook brand awareness

Objective: Work with the most influential and authentic influencer partners to increase affinity to Mixbook and site traffic from Instagram

Strategy: Partner with influencers in our demographic: mom, travel, pet, craft/DIY, and home decor.

I single-handedly ran all our influencer marketing efforts. Mixbook executes up to 200+ influencer campaigns annually. I have experience in contract negotiation, great relationships with influencer agencies and their clients, and knowledge of different tools and platforms to help audit and discover new potential partners. Relationship building is one of my favorite parts of the job. Campaigns often included SEO optimized blog posts, high conversion via Instagram Stories, and ongoing ambassadorships.

Some of our best collaborations include campaigns with Matt Crump, Lauren Luyendyk, Caila Quinn, Catherine Giudici, and Jade Tolbert

Experiential Marketing & Event Planning

Product launches, educational panels, high-traffic booths at creative conferences—I enjoy putting together in-person activations that are memorable and completely original. I have experience with activation concept and execution, VIP lists, brand sponsorships, contracts, and event logistics.

Alt Summit

The most well-known conference for women influencers and entrepreneurs in creative fields. Mixbook’s presence three years in a row has generated 50+ new content/design partners annually and has given us a chance to foster relationships in-person. Booth design and execution was a team effort. Often times we would schedule meet and greets at our booth to increase booth foot traffic.

Oh Joy! For Mixbook

In March 2019, Mixbook launched its largest partnership with the amazing Joy Cho of Oh Joy! In celebration, we threw an experiential event in Pasadena, California full of local influencers, brand partners, and fundraising for Shriners Hospitals for Children. It was a great way to get the products in the hands of influential creatives in our demographic.

CreateCelebrate: Color

When Mixbook did a brand refresh in October 2018, we took our new and improved look on the road with a series of experiential events: CreateCelebrate: Color in Los Angeles and CreateCelebrate: Holiday in Salt Lake City. ‘Color’ and ‘Holiday’ were built with our core brand pillars at heart. Colorful decor, custom-made bites, DIY activities, influencer partners, and brand partner activations. Every detail was developed by myself and my Director of Marketing, along side production teams in the markets. These events were focused on inspiring creativity and keeping Mixbook top-of-mind when it comes to custom photo products.
